Settings even smaller?

Last week one of the moniters PM'd me telling me that my siggy was way to long. She also told me her siggy was way to long, and that she would be fixing hers too. I PM'd her back, telling her that with my screen, my settings were normal 2 lines, and so was hers. She told me fine, don't worry about it.

Now, this morning, the page

<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

is smaller. My siggy is still 2 lines long, but it barely fits.

What's the deal? I haven't done anything to change it.

So, then really, we don't need to worry about our siggy lines because every computer is different, and while I see 2 lines, you see 3. According to my screen, your siggy line is the same exact size as my siggy fitting in 2 lines.

I still don't like the width of the screen. I feel like I'm in a small box or something, and it's very crowded.

LDS: On your first post it is 3 lines, on your second post it is 4 lines long.
UUCC: Your sig is 3 lines on my monitor too.
Weird

I thought i noticed something different in the past few days. I think the text boxes used to be longer....am I going crazy?

The reply field is a lot narrower now so on some screens a 2 line sig will now show up 3-4 lines because of various monitor sizes and the reply field being smaller.

3 then 4?

It's still 2 on mine.

On the top of my internet screen, I click on VIEW. Then I click on TEXT SIZE. I then click on MEDIUM. I've always had it on medium. I'm sure if I click on LARGER or LARGEST, my siggy would be on 3-5 lines. But if I click on SMALLER or SMALLEST, then I will have 2 lines still. I like the medium setting for my computer.

I see mods with 4 line sigs so I'm not sure why they aren't getting "policed".
I see your sig as 3 lines

I just got an email saying that mine was too long. I had added a Keith Urban fan thing oh well. I don't understand why this site has such a hard time with people avatars and signatures yet as a member to serveral other boards that allow you to choose your own avatar or siggy and they have no prob with it. I don't know. I personaly like to see peoples siggies and avatars.

Alas no Keith for me anymore

I am glad they have a limit on sig lines. It's bothers me to have a sig line 5 times longer than the post, and I have to scroll scroll scroll to read a thread that isn't all that long.

I see LDS's as 3, "wife to " is on a line all by itself, UUCCMom is two full lines. NaturalMomie's is 4 lines. 3 is the limit now I think, right? Or is it 2? You could put your 2nd and 4th lines up on the one above and be alright I think.

Also with those that have ad free subscriptions, it makes the sigs shorter, I opened a screen without being signed in and everyones sig lines were more lines, except for the really short ones, those stayed the same.

I can see how it would be hard to judge. There is also the issue of screen resolution, some people have it at different settings too.

Your sig is 5 lines on my screen.

Nope, the boxes are smaller! So I think maybe Questions and suggestions needs to know?????

ETA ~ My sig hasn't changed in a few months and it is now 4 lines

Change your color to blue and it is all fixed!
I see the same thing, maybe they are testing out the postbit size in order to fit more things on the sides.
Yep! Switching to the blue fixes most sigs!
I, for one, am glad that there is a sig limit. I have actually left boards because people have gigantic signs and 27 lilypie counters *shudder* that make the threads unreadable
I am actually on a message board that doesn't allow sigs at all, under the theory that your name already shows up on the left hand side of the screen.

I am a bad speller, forgive me in advance for all future posts
I just copied and pasted so the smilies in your sig won't work but this is your sig. You have four different lines. You can put it together by putting the the first three lines all in one line instead of giving each their own line.

Yes, mods usually have more lines in their sig. I thought I read somewhere they're allowed to though.

*ETA: With the spaces, you're actually taking up six lines.

I have seen someone with 12 lines. It was crazy. I hope they got an email. :LOL

But on my computer screen, you only have 4 lines. Very odd indeed!!
Right, she has four text lines, but she has two spaces so she is using up six lines.

I'll bet your last line is showing up as two on that PP's very narrow screen or something.

That was excluding their line that had something to do with MDC. Their "personal" sig was 4 lines. I thought it was 2 for them but they could also have additional "MDC" stuff in their sig. Any mods want to chime in on this?
