Question about apples, teeth and health

Dd (aged 4) seems to recently be almost addicted to eating apples. This is a kid who hates candy, cookies and desserts. Overall, she eats a great diet, with tons of fruit and vegetables, but is very much a grazer. She has never eaten big meals, but has eaten a lot of fruit etc through the day. She also hates juice and only drinks water. I buy organic whenever I can, but it probably works out only 50/50 organic vs non-organic apples that she eats. And if I let her, she'd eat 6 a day

I'd feel a lot happier if we'd got her to see a dentist by now, but this is a big issue for us due to her sensory issues. It's not for want of trying, but I think it will be another year before we get her teeth checked - we just did a visit to the dentist today and she just had a meltdown and we didnt even get her mouth open.

I do wonder if there's a reason why she's so obsessed with apples - nutritionally, or maybe emotionally (she has sensory integration issues). She is a creature of habit and easily becomes obsessed with routines and familiarity, which is probably a contributing factor.

Does anyone have any thoughts about any of this? Obvoiusly, I prefer that it's apples not candy or sweets that she's obsessed wiht, but I'd hate to allow it and later find out that it was doing her harm either nutritionally or to her teeth.

Apples are great for the teeth. They fight the bacteria that leads to decay.
My friend took her dd with sensory issues to a naturopath and he put her on a diet that eliminated crunchy anything. She steamed the apples slightly. But now she is eating them raw again. BTW, what really helped her dd was a remedy administered by a Homeopath. Her sensory issues are minimal now.
