Anyone else leaky?

I'm at 38 weeks today. Last Wednesday I lost part of my plug (jellyball the size of a pingpong - but clear) and since then I've been discharging this pee-like substance every couple of hours.

My mws say not to worry cause if it was amniotic things would be gushing out when they were playing with my belly or whenever I took a step and that it's probably cervix discharge. But holy smokes! It sure hits when I first wake up. Feels like I'm wetting the bed (sorry if TMI!) and I'm gushing now throughout the day. I'll see my mw again on Friday. Don't want to bug them again about this (called them twice on this already) but just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Could it be loss of bladder control too do you think?

hmmm, if you are actually gushing I"d tend to think it was amniotic fluid, maybe just a little leak? I lost my mucous plug a couple of weeks ago and have had lots of cervical discharge but nothing I'd describe that dramatically.

According to my midwife, I am juicy. It is kind of excessive sometimes, especially if I have had a lot of contractions, recently.

I guess gushing might be a tad too strong. That's always the word I used after me and dh do it and half hour later things spill out and I tell him I just gushed. So I guess it feels like that, or peeing a bit when you laugh too hard.

I'm definately juicy. My panties are always wet but I'm not leaving puddles everywhere. I guess when it happens it feels like a lot more than it really is. Cerivcal discharge is probably what it is. I'm just getting paranoid I guess. I haven't been paranoid about anything until now so I guess that's not too bad.

i have a lot of discharge these days too, but hardly ever what i would call a gush. more like a constant...gooeyness. i haven't lost any part of my plug yet, though, either.

Yeah, I'm definatly feeling that wet feeling and can sometimes feel stuff sliding out. If that's what you're feeling, I'd say it's cervical fluid The weird stuff that no one tells you about that happens during pregnancy:LOL I had never even heard of a mucous plug before I got pg.

Yep I am definitely gooey most of the time and sometimes I feel like maybe I peed myself or something because I will feel a bit of a gush and then...nope just cervical fluid.

I have the same thing. I wake up in the morning and have to run to the bathroom to avoid making a mess... I thought it was my water breaking the first time. Had my midwife come and check, but the test didn't really tell. I guess it wasn't water! I am so sick of the leaking! I've had two days of bloody show and then the watery stuff and still no baby.

First time mom

Hi All:

I am a first time mom, and I just started experiencing some discharge, and I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid too. On my appointment on Friday my midwife said that I wasn't leaking fluid, and that I would probably start to notice more discharge.
I am getting worried because she told me that she might be out of town for thanksgiving, and even though my due date is Nov. 30th I am worried I might be early, and then what do I do? Should I look for another midwife that will be in town?

You might ask her if she has a back-up. My midwife gave me a list of midwives to call in case she was at another birth or out of town when I go into labor. My due date is the 22nd, so I am hoping it won't happen on Thanksgiving. I don't think anyone else my midwife is seeing is due anytime soon, but she did mention that she would like to go out of town!
