How do you know when you.......

you need to go to the dr. for preterm labor? I know I had three other babies but I was induced with all of them for different reasons, I have been having alot of false contractions and now they are starting to feel like menstrual cramps, and then at night when I am trying to sleep I get this throbbing pain that goes up my spine and hurts for a minute or two.... and when would they not stop your labor if you go in before your term? I am almost 35 weeks. I have a dr. appt in a week. just don't want to go to the er or pester them for nothing... if nothing is happening down there, my last two appts. they did internals because I had been having so many bh contractions but wasn't dialating or anything just don't know if I am now....

gosh arlene, I think I'd go in and get checked. If you're worried about it, you might feel better having them tell you its nothing. If its _something_ it might not even be ptl, it could be a UTI or something else that you could get under control and be more comfortable. I'm not a fan of hospitals or inteventions, but it seems like this could be important, if only to ease your mind.

I'd start with your OB. You need to rule out an infection..... Better to pester then have a little one in the NICU.

Any word, Arlene?? I would call your OB if you haven't...its not pestering, its what you are paying them for!

well I ended up just going to bed and when I woke this morning I have had none today, but I guess if it starts back up before my appt. I will call them and get checked....
