I'm starting to feel a little bit concerned that we don't really even have a front-runner for any names yet- boy OR girl! If I went by LMP, I'd be due Dec 2, though I am pretty sure my actual due date is closer to Dec 10 or so... I feel like the baby COULD be born any day now, and I'm so antsy about not having any names picked out!

I was just writing an email to a friend about this very thing!
I am due Dec. 21, and have no clue about names! I have a few that I like, but nothing I love.
If it makes you feel better, we didn't name DD until a 1.5 weeks after she was born. We had a name picked out, but once we met her, it just didn't suit her. And we ended up using a name we decided against months before she was born!
I'm trying to at least have a liitle list of names that we like, so its not a big process after the baby is born, but I honestly am not wild about most of the names I hear. And we think its a boy, and I just don't like most boys names.
I have a picture in my head of me with a newborn on my lap, desperately searching name websites late into the night! LOL I hope this isn't the case...

We have chosen a short list of names for a girl: Pia, Portia or Amelia with Noelle for middle name.
Boys...AAAAA!!!!! We had chosen a name, but decided this weekend that it was a bad idea. We were going to use Clinton Douglas. Clinton is DH's and my best friend, but lives in Florida. He's been a wonderful man and has helped us greatly in the past. However, when we went to FL this weekend, he told us he was probably going to get engaged to his g/f over Christmas. While I'm happy for him, it will probably spell the end of our close friendship, as she is a bit controlling and uncomfortable to be around. She makes it hard on all of his friends. (another story altogether.) Anyway, we don't really want to name a baby after someone we won't be close to in ten years, so......
back to the drawing board.
Let's see....brainstorming......
DH's dad was Carl Steven.
Stepdad is David Nolan.
Dad is Roderick Irving.
Grandfather is Douglas Haig.
Not really much in the way of inspiration there.
DH is Scandanavian. I'm 1/2 Dutch plus English and Scottish.
We've thought of Leif and Finn....but that's all so far. And they don't really strike us.
I'm definitely feeling your concerns.....and, Deidre, I can totally picture doing the same thing at the computer, LOL!!

We still don't have a name either. We've tossed around a few, but nothing seems right yet. We didnt' have a name for dd until a week before she was born and when we decided, we just knew it was right. We're not disagreeing (well except for one name that dh better not be serious about :LOL) we just haven't figured out what it is.

Hey Jaclyn, y'all could use Jett for a boy.
Nolan jumped out at me, that's nice sounding.
Laura, are there any "rules" you follow? Like only four letters? Jade and Nova are both nature names....I can't wait to see what name you pick, I love both the girls' names! I think of you often and constantly wish you a happy, healing birth.
