Hi, I would like to get my mom a really nice knitting package together for Christmas. She has just started knitting and is doing great. I wanted to get her some super soft wool and maybe some patterns (she is using my Nana's 50 year old patterns right now), maybe some accessories to help make it easier. I know there are a lot of WAHM's who make wool diaper covers from soft wool, can you stear me in a direction?

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I don't knit but I do buy the wool for my Gram to knit soakers with. I get stuff at Halcyon.com I am from Maine so I can actually shop there in person and love to touch the yarn. it seriously goes from the floor almost up to the ceiling and that is darned high1 They have a great catalog to request even if you just want to window shop and find something cheaper someplace else. They also carry patterns, loom and felting supplies.
