Eczema help???

Does anyone out there have eczema?

I have developed it within the past year and it's driving me crazy! I have never had any skin conditions in my life, nor do I have sensitive skin. I've been getting eczema on my hands and wrist for several months. I tried 2 homeopathic creams and neither one helped (one actually stung!) I resorted to using a 2.5% hydrocortisone cream rx which did actually clear it up. BUT...now it seems to be appearing on my inner elbow and one of my thighs, of which both places have been irritated before. I didn't want to use the hydro cream b/c I heard that it actually makes the skin thinner and wrinkle, and just suppresses the problem.

This eczema thing seems to get worse under stress, and I've read that it can be a CAUSE of stress which isn't surprising for my case.

I've also heard that acupuncture can really help, and I would like to try this but can't afford it unless I go to an naturopathic school and get a "student rate" with someone who isn't certified yet (or however it works!)

So I guess what I'm asking is, what have you had success with, and if you have a problem with eczema when did it occur in your life?

Thank you!

Christain has it, but his outbreaks are on the outer and inner part of his elbow. We too have the RX for it, but it does thin the skni out. Aveno works really well, they have the oatmeal bath, saops and lotions. DR. told us to use it when he was 2-3 cuz he was to young for the creams and it works really well. Maybe its youe laundry soap?? We use Nature Value or Seventh Gnerations and his skin as improved!

A good friend has eczema, and dh has severe psoriasis. My friend is considering using Eledel (sp?). She has used some oatmeal creams as well I think.
