Don't laugh...

soaker

I pulled out the darn caterpiller about 50 times, then decided to make a little bug instead. But the bug ended up looking like a caterpiller....so...what ya gonna do?

I still need to get some black floss to do the eyes and a little smile. It was a lot harder to embroider on a knit item, as compared to cotton. Does anybody know of a good book or anything about embroidery for knitting?

Looks great mama! I am working on my first soaker now and have 2 holes so far, right on the butt too so I think I may embroider something right over them! sneaky huh!

I think it looks great! Lots of knitting books have instructions for duplicate stitch, which is what you usually use for large areas on knitting.
OT, pilesolaundry, I love that name! We outta have a contest to see who does the most laundry... I've seriously tried to talk my hubby into building one large room into our house that's a combo laundry room and family closet, to save us time walking all over collecting and putting away every day!

Thanks you guys...you all are too nice

I used those two sites actually. I found that chain stitch came out a lot nicer than duplicate for me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, because when I tried it with duplicate, you could still see the bottom color in the line between the little v's. (does that make sense?) Do I need to duplicate stitch the duplicate stitches together? (ooh wow, that probably makes no sense whatsoever) Anyways, I guess I'll keep on trying. Although I'm a tad scared after the way this one turned out
