Will you see the movie? have you seen it? What did you think? What did your children think?
I took my children to see it yesterday. The book is one of our favourite Christmas books - one of the few Santa ones we all enjoy. It was the first time for one and the second time for the other two to go into a movie theatre.
It wasn't a waste, but we all agreed that the book is so much better. My 8 yo said that they put lots of excitement and new stuff in to the movie because they thought kids would like it that way, but that he just likes a good story. He said, "If I want a roller coaster ride I will go to the fall fair. I don't like scary stuff unless it's in a good book and I can put it down. When I read the Polar Express it's because the story feels like magic and it makes me feel good, but the movies didn't do that for me - they were more into Santa having a huge sack and there being lots of adventures but no real magic."
How's that for a review?

I will probably take my 5 year old to see it because she really wants to go. I hope she likes it.
