Animal Smell Neutralizer?

Can anyone give me suggestions for neutralizing dog smell naturally? My darling doggie rubs herself against the upholstered furniture. Other people have suggested "Febreeze", but that kind of odor-masking, fragranced stuff isn't really a good fit in my home. I'll use it if I have to, but I'd like to get suggestions for something I might spray on the upholstered furniture and carpet to just neutralize the doggie scent. I use a lot of essential oil/filtered water in my home, but I'd like to neutralize, not just cover up the doggie smell.
I do bathe her, but let's face it, she's a dog and she smells like a dog.

I use Bac-Out (available at health food stores in laundry detergent section) for many odors including cat urine and it works very well. For furniture you might dilute it a little and use a spray bottle. It has a citrus-y scent that dissipates. Mostly I use it on for stains and smells before they go in the wash but I have used it on carpet straight and it works quite well! Baking soda sprinkled and vacuumed up also works for some smells. I love pets even with all their stinky smells!

Thanks for the tip about Bac Out! I'll try it. I did sprinkle baking soda on the carpet and then vacuumed it up. It did a respectable job on the smell. This doggie brings my son so much joy that I can't complain about her small odor problem. . . Thanks again.

enzyme cleaner= odorless

You can also buy a liquid enzyme cleaner at a pet store-- it's targeted at urine smell removal- but works for anything. It is odorless which I like and works pretty well. On fabric I think it'd be very effective-- can't remember name of it- but pet store would know. Just put it in spray bottle & you're set.
