I have to vent...

We were planning on telling SO's parents and family today. Perfect night. Perfect timing. I had the shirt on underneath DS's sweatshirt, that said BIG BROTHER. I made it tonight. The whole family was sitting around after watching part of Romi and Michelle's high school reunion. Almost time to go. I'm giving him the look. (We had established that it was his family, so it was his choice). I knew he would chicken out. He did.
I'm just so mad, all he had to do was take off DS's shirt. Now I have to spend all weekend with them and not tell them, cause SO won't be there, and its his sister's weekend. She has a play, then its her birthday party - and I don't want to take any attention away from her on her weekend. OH well, I guess I'll be wearing huge sweatshirts and biting my tongue some more!

I would go ahead and tell them yourself....use this as your opportunity to develop a more intimimate repore' with them. I can sense your frustration ...I am still waiting for DH to tell half his family...one half knows and is dying to spread it around but HE wants to wait till he can tell the other half but he hasnt even attempted it yet. Its going to backfire on him soon if he doesnt do it soon

Otherwise, hang in there and just hint about it all weekend.

I am so sorry your SO disappointed you.
When I found out I was pg with DD, I told my DH family, not him. I asked them to keep it a secret until he was ready. To this day, my DH has no idea that I told his Mom first & not him. Not sure if that would work for you, but thought I would share. Good luck this weekend.

Well, I had to tell his mom early, because she is psychic, so it was just his dad and sisters. I should have just taken CJoe's shirt off and exposed the Big Brother shirt myself! I almost did, too! I think SO might go to the festivities this weekend,at least for a while, so maybe we'll still tell them together afterall.

Well, at least you get to tell people. I told my dad and he went and told everyone else in my family. I know he was excited.. but still.. :P
