I know of all the ones we commonly mention here.
Everytime I search on patterns or hat patterns I get so many results and am wondering if there are any places other than the ones we see here that are quality patterns and esly to understand.

nak There are LOTS of free sites out there, lions brand has a site with cute stuff, berocco does as well. Knitting blogs are fun to read so you can find patterns you may not have seen before, and see the finished product and read what their problems were if any. I knitting blogs!

are you looking for free patterns?

these two sites are pretty good

www.knitting.about.com (lot's of popup's though -beware)

http://freeknittingpatterns.blogspot.com/
(This one is more of a compilation of the free patterns from the net. An excellent resource)

If you aren't looking for free patterns, most yarn websites have a pattern section and will give the experience level of the pattern. If you are looking for a hat pattern specifically, I like knitwhits stuff the best
