I have now finally got access to 3 of their albums and I have been listening to them over and over and over again. man are they good. I am turning in to the quentisential teenie bopper/ obsessed fan all the sudden. I am right now restraining the urge deep with in to go and check out for an official Cake web site for silly fans who want to ask silly questions like " Jon, what is your favorite color? And what kind of a tree would you be if you were a tree ? "


I have it bad all the sudden ! Too much Cake at my house, thats for darn sure. I think if my son was older and wiser he would try to hide my cd s...lol.

I do like Cake, I do not eat Cake everyday but I do find them very tasty on occassion

I've enjoyed Cake since I first heard "The Distance"

The bass player and the drummer are the cutest. :LOL I am a rhythm section type of girl.

Never been to a Cake concert but wanted to let you know if you did not know already that DirecTV is running a free concert of theirs the whole month of November. Maybe you can check it out if you have access yourself or know someone who does.

I am silly and I think I like "Sheep go to heaven" the best. If only for the line "the stonemason does all the work"....I am married to a stonemason and that vocation hardly ever gets namechecked in popular music. :

I absolutely love the band CAKE. Own all their albums ... Know all the words. One of my favorite bands to pop in the cd player in the car - Blast and sing my flippen heart out to when I am lucky enough to be driving by myself.

I've been into them for about seven years. Hubby and I still go to a lot of shows. They are on the top of our 'must see' list. Surprised we haven't seen them yet actually.

My favorite? I really cannot pin that one down. 'The Distance' still kills me everytime I listen to it. Bass line rips!

Another Cake fan here. For those of you with DirecTV, they are running a Freeview concert of Cake every weekend this month. I caught it last weekend and it was cool.

I think DH and I have been semi-fans ever since The Distance and we just keep falling in deeper with every song we hear. We haven't gotten the third album yet. ( Looks like I have something new to put on my Xmas list.

Another Cake fan here. I've been hearing a song from their newest album on the radio lately and am wanting to get it. I was living in CA when I first got into them, so it must be at least 5 years now. Not an everyday thing, though! I saw them at a free concert at the local arts festival last summer. Quite a good show and funny commentary.

Displaying my ignorance here--but do the Cake guys deliberately avoid being seen? We have two of their CDs and really like them, and dd wanted to see what they look like, so we did a search and found a picture of them, only it was taken from what looked like a mile away.

I also like Cake. I don't know much about the band though but the songs I've heard are all great. A cousin of mine in California says she knows the band members and thinks they are jerks. But who knows. Their music is great though!
