If you are looking for a good read- and something to totally enthrall you, read some Gene Wolfe. I recommend [i]The Book of the New Sun[i/], which is in 4 Volumes.

Here are the descriptions frm Amazon. The books are probably in your local library. I don't know iWolfe is considered ScIFi or fantasy, but cool nonetheless.

My fav. fantasy is Tolkien. Also good: George R R Martin. I also like Harry Potter, even though it's supposedly kids stuff.

Right now I'm working my way through the SERRAted edge books by Lackey. I really enjoy most of her stuff. I liked Garth Nix's Abhorsen books.

I don't care if a book is a "kid's" book or not. If it is a good book, it's a good book. I feel that way about the Potter books. Also in that vein are Susan Cooper's books.

Has anyone read Eragon yet? I've got it in my TBR pile but just haven't worked my way there. Most of my reading is done while DS is napping in arms and HCs are just too hard for me to manage.
