Christmas in Connecticut!

"Light the lamp not the rat! Light the lamp not the rat LIGHTTHELAMPNOTTHERAT!!!" : Love Muppet Christmas Carol! Not to mention that the music is just so freakin' great. Gets me feelin' holiday-y in no time flat.

I like How The Grinch Stole Christmas too (er, that would be the old one ... the *good* one). I get teary at the end every time : I'm not sure if I've actually managed to hide it from DH or if he's just being unusually merciful and not mentioning it.

Scrooge, Muppets Christmas Carol, A Christmas Carol, An American Christmas Carol, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. LOL, I just love A Christmas Carol. I am trying to collect as many versions of it as I can.

Christmas in Connecticut (I even like the 90s remake with Dyan Cannon and Kris Kristofferson).

We just watched The Year Without a Santa Claus the other day.

Hey, does anyone remember that movie The House without a Christmas Tree. I remember watching that a few times as a child and I always thought it was kind of sad.

I also like All I Want for Christmas. Heck, I think I like just about any Christmas movie.

Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas! Hands down. I am also looking forward to Elf when I can get it from the library.

Yes! Read the book when I was younger (my daughter found it in the free book box at school and brought it home last year too!), and there's also a Thanksgiving one too.

It's a Wonderful Life--it's my dad's favorite and i've seen it 100 times probably, but i watched it last weekend for the first time as an adult and i really enjoyed it.

Elf--saw it last weekend too--SO funny, and a good christmas movie.

My absolute favorite: Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas. I have it on VHS and can't wait to bring it out every year. I watched it twice this weekend and I still feel like a kid watching it.

My fave's are all on ABC Family's 25 days of Christmas.

I LOVE Miracle on 34th Street. The older version NOT the newer one that came out in the 90's or later.......

Robbie the Reindeer!

It's a hilarious BBC-produced stop-motion show, very much in the spirit of Wallace and Gromit. Don't miss it!

It is a remake of "Shop around the Corner," which was also sort of remade into "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan.

And if you like White Christmas, try "Holiday Inn;" Bing Crosby & Fred Astaire -- Bing opens an inn that is only open holidays -- the inn looks suspiciously like the one in White Christmas (and Easter Parade!).

Ahem....did I mention I liked musicals... now I'm gonna have to watch White Christmas again today (my poor ds -- at least dh will be spared! :LOL) ...wish my mommy lived near me, we always watched it together.

Another musical lover here. I've seen all of those, too. Ahh Easter Parade w/ two of my all time fave actors. Wonderful!

I've had the best time introducing DH to musicals and I've found the holidays have been a great oppotunity to do so.
