The other day I posted early in the AM while I was I was having irregular contractions... they faded out by breakfast and I went and spent the day being observed for potential pre-eclampsia at the hospital. I got home that evening, put my feet up for an hour, then at 6 PM my water broke and I went into regular labor.
John Charles (Charlie) was born almost 12 hours later at 5:30 AM, the 25th! He's 7 lbs 8 oz and 19 1/2 inches. It was a hard labor with over 2 hours of pushing at the end and finally a bit of forceps help (his head was transverse) but otherwise completely natural. We got home from the hospital this afternoon and are breastfeeding happily! I'll post the long version of the birth sometime in the next few days, but I wanted to let you mamas know. You've been such a terrific support during my pregnancy!
