Circ talk with my dad...

Had a weird talk over the holiday with my father about having not circ'd my boys. I was pointing out that the whole "he won't look like me" thing is totally lame. Well my dad says that it is true and boys wonder those things. Well being the mother of three boys I pointed out that how often as a grown man does he and my brother compare penises? And of coarse my Dh's penis looks different than the boys... he is an adult my boys are well BOYS! So yeah they notice dad's penis is different... but it is a size issue not a foreskin issue. I don't think he got it. Although while talking to SIL about circing she and my dad were shocked to hear what actually happens during a circ. Hopefully that will keep SIL from hacking any male children's foreskins off. (She just had a girl)

Hopefully your SIL will remember that or come and talk to you again if she ever has a boy! I had a similar conversation with my 20 yo cousin on Thursday when I was changing DS' dipe. Over Christmas I hope to get a chance to talk to my 18 yo brother and his gf.

How funny. A holiday circ talk. LOL. Strange stuff you talk about when you get together with family. My dad did think the whole circing to stop masterbating was funny though. :P

My dad's only concern was that ds would develop phimosis and would have to be circ'ed in puberty, which would be very traumatic. He said he knew a boy like this and it was terrible. So I printed out 2 articles for him: "The Foreskin Advantage" and "Conservative Treatment of Phimosis."

Funny thing, though - he read "Conservative Treatment of Phimosis" but not "The Foreskin Advantage." Guess he didn't want to know what he was missing...

It is always that isn't it. "Iknow some one who...." or how do you teach them to care for it? It's a cleaning issue for me.... OH COME ON! (My SIL did ask that one... ) I said it is like teaching a girl t care for her parts, and if you are circ'd you never wash down there or something?
I don't want to disscuss my sons penis at all with him so lets hack off the foreskin cuz then I would have to tell him to touch it!
OK I am ranty today!

There are two possible explanations a parent will have to give: (1) You are just like you and every other male is born and (2) I had this irrational desire to have part of your penis cut off for no justifiable reason. I'll take #1 any day. There are too many follow-up questions for #2 and too many arguable and incriminating answers.

I think y'all need a laugh here: My husband owns a lighting & electrical business. Every day he talks on the phone to a woman who works at one of his suppliers. This youngish gal told him that she was pregnant, whereupon my husband asked her what her plans were for circumcision if it turned out to be a boy. She said she thought the cut organ was "cute" and would have the baby sliced. Well, when he heard that, husband said if she did such an awful thing to her baby, he would shove an 8-foot fluorescent tube up her ass. I nearly took to my bed when he told me this, but he reminded me that the lighting business is filled with nasty and scatological talk. I am not making this up, friends.

LuAnn, wonderful story! I just read your post to my hubby who used to do lighting maintanance, and he's ! Kudos to your hubby, too. Maybe you can print some of the nocirc pamphlets for him to send to her so she can see some serious info on it.

Fluorescent tubes - novel uses

Paquerette & husband: many thanks for your words. The little ninny had a GIRL! Praise the Lloyd! (that comes from that wonderful film, The Stupids). Yes, I keep some NOCIRC literature on hand; their pampholets are very good, aren't they. - LuAnn.
