not that i'm complaining and i am definitely not worried, just curious.

he's 4 and a half, and a couple of weeks ago he started falling asleep at around 6-7. he stopped taking naps a few months ago, although he would have one occassionaly, once or twice a week at most.

ever since, well, birth, he was a night owl. so this is brand new! dh and i actually get to have conversations now!

i'm guessing it's because having no naps is catching up with him?

Hm, did his bedtime change when the naps faded? We automatically changed DS's bedtime when he stopped taking naps. Went from about 9pm to about 7pm. Mainly, just made sure that his waking hours and sleeping hours were both about 12 hours, give or take.

Perhaps your son's body is going through a growth spurt and it's giving him a better idea of when he's tired, following that cue, etc... ????

At any rate, congrats on getting to have conversations with DH--always a plus! Indeed, we've definitely become big fans of the early bedtime. Speaking of which...

The best,
Em
