Ok, who's busted out the maternity clothes? Rant involved

I have nothing to wear. My regular clothes don't fit, so I have created a very ugly transitional wardrobe made up of stretchy Wal-Mart Grandma pants and huge shirts (some of which are maternity, some are not). I showed early with my last one and the pooch is already becoming more apparent.

While I'm on it, why is it seen as a weakness of some kind to look pregnant before others? I remember people telling me I looked like I was about to give birth when I was only 6 months pregnant and I wanted to crawl under a rock. Why can't we all just be okay with what our body does during this process? Why can't other people be ok with it too and keep their mouths shut?

sneaking in from barely - pregnant august to lend sympathy. My pants are already getting a little snug, and I'm not even 5 weeks yet... I'm sure I'll be doing some sort of Goodwill / Thrift-store transitional thing until I tell my work after the new year.

About the judgement thing... Last time, I didn't show until (I'm not kidding) we were on the way to the hospital. I remember being the designated driver for a wine tour of friends when I was 37 weeks, and 2 wineries forced me to pay admission. I was soooo mad! I gave one a riot act (because admission was $15) until they relented. Then, being my sassy, spiteful self, I paid anyway. Poor hubby got a little drunk, because I didn't want to waste the $$. So, just letting you know it goes both ways... (and, by the way -- who doesn't believe a woman when she says she's pregnant?)

yp i am ten weeks andi have been in maternity pants since 6 weeks. I popped quick..lol my hubby keeps teasing me about twins.

last tiem i was 4-6 months pregnant during the summer. I wore jammie pants and middy tops showing off my beutiful preggno belly. when iwas four months pregnant somebody told me i looked like i was aobut to pop! LMAO they should have seen me when iwas 42 weeks! lol


people i thikn have no real idea of what pregnancy looks like and as soon as you don't fit into the typical narrow waisted or chubby female archetype..than you are "huge"

Sorry you feel bad - there is really no reason to. Everyone shows at different times and its all normal.

I am 6 weeks and other than being VERY bloated at night look exactly the same - not even bump in my belly. But I cant wait to start showing!

As for the clothes what about draw string pants? Those were my fave for the transition from not showing to showing and for a week or so post pardum.

I am tired of my work wardrobe and cant wait to start needing maternity clothes - its like a whole new fun wardrobe!

The first time I got pregnant I went to a maternity shop hoping to buy at least one pretty dress to wear. I ended up not buying anything because the way the maternity clothes are designed makes me look very weird. The clothes tend to have a "pocket" for each boob plus a big drapery for the belly presenting the appearance of three bizzarely huge lumps.

I ended up buying some big loose cotton dresses that aren't intended as maternity clothes at all (I'm wearing one right not that came from Eddie Bower). They seem to drape over my body in a much more natural way, and even though I am huge (I've gained 40 poiund and counting) nobody has commented and actually just yesterday an aquaintance acted surprised to learn that I was pregnant at all.

The best thing about the non-maternity dresses is that I can still wear them when I'm not pregnant. A belt, vest or jacket gives them some shape once I get my waist back.

I generally wear really stretchy yoga pants I have like 6 pairs that I wear(not preggo) aslounging pants, they're soooo comfy!! Now I just wear them everywhere instead of just around the house. stretchy pants with a sweatshirt(also big and comfy) can't go wrong with that :LOL

My problem is finding a bra!!! All my bras are too tight now, and I can NOT for the life of me find a plain stretchy cotton bra that's not restricting like a sports bra is!!

Yep, I'm sitting here with my pants unbuttoned and unzipped, because almost everything is getting too tight. I gave/threw away all my maternity clothes after the last baby, I didn't think we'd have another so soon. So, I am scrambling trying to find something that fits.

I am 10 weeks today, and I too am sitting her with my jeans un-done. LOL Last time I see these babies for a LOOOOONG while.

Anyhoo, I have lost 25lbs so far due to m/s. I had the same thing happen with my first pg and I wore my jeans until I was almost 5 months pg. BUT, this time around, probably due to the fact that this is my 2nd pg, my tummy is hanging out already, and I too will be needing to find some transition clothes.

I'm glad someone posted about this, because I have declared my favorite low rise jeans torture devices and have resorted to baggy jeans and drawstring waist skirts and pants. I scored some great prana pants at tj maxx the other day that have been wonderful
I can't stand having anything restricting my tummy right now, even pajama bottoms. I wouldn't exactly say that I'm "showing", just bloated and uncomfortable.
I think I've lost some weight, but it seems like my uterus is pushing my tummy around in some way that it is sticking out more (not where my uterus is, higher up). I could just be bloated or something, though. I just keep reminding myself that I'm pg, and should just relax and go with whatever my body does.

Ummm... that's what I've BEEN wearing, and they are squeezing into my belly too much!! Now what am I to do? Even my PJ pants bother me!!
Am I the only one who has to pull her pants up to her ears so that NOTHING digs in my belly?? I am planning on sewing a bunch of dresses and some pants soon... just as soon as this morning-noon-andnight-sickness subsides a little!

This is my first, and so far everything has been great. But I was shocked when last week (at 8 1/2 weeks) I went to put on a pair of pants I wear all the time, and I couldn't zip them AT ALL!!! Is this normal? I'm down to my baggy jeans and my dh's track pants. I've got a little pooch, but figured it was just bloating, but it never goes away. I'm thrilled if this is real thing, I just never expected to show any during the first trimester. What do you do for transitional clothes??!?!

I had to dump my regular jeans already and I'm wearing my one other pair of pants that don't press on my belly. I just hate that pressure on my belly! I've already been eyeing my mat. overalls...

Oh, and I'm only 8 weeks.
