We are officially homeschoolers!

From Monday, that is. Ds is at school his last day today. And I'm FREAKING OUT : I didn't anticipate feeling this way, but I'm really, really scared!

Behaviorally, ds is a real challenge, though he's super smart. Unfortunately, I just found out the support group we were planning to join isn't accepting visitors until January, so we'll have to wait a month to connect with other hs'ers. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Please tell me everything will be ok! Has anyone else felt this freaked out going into homeschooling?

At home or just in the public school setting??

I wouldn't worry about the HS group thing right now. Take time to enjoy him being at home, get him used to your HS schedule and enjoy the holiday's! Then when Jan. rolls around you will be refreshed and ready to join them.

You're doing the right thing Mama!

Just at home. In PS, he's always been good as gold.

Hopefully once I get through next week I'll feel better...

Congrats! You're going to love having him at home! There will be an adjustment period for everyone. It's perfectly normal to go through the "What the heck do I think I'm doing?" phase. Just reach out for support. This is a good place and also see what you have in your local area if you haven't already.
