Well, probably not useful for you as you say the Hyland's tabs weren't helpful and the main ingredient is the same, but we swear by Boiron's single-dose Camilia. It has a lot more packaging than the Hylands tablets

Have you tried multiple doses of the Hylands? Sometimes it wouldn't work for us until dose 2 or 3 (15 minutes apart). Also I got in the habit of starting out with 3 tablets, instead of 2.
My BIL swears that celery is slightly numbing, so if baby will chew on it a cold celery stick may be worth a try?
