quote within a post?

Can someone tell me what manual I need to read to learn how to do that fancy quote from another post thing within the pretty box and all? What am I doing wrong? I'd like to be able to occasionally repeat a quote from someone else's post. Can someone help me? (can you tell I finally learned how to use smilies today?!!)

at the bottom right of any post their is a little box that says quote. Just click the box and it will open a reply and quote the whole post. You can then delete any and all text you don't want to include from the quote.

Or you can highlight and copy the part you want.
Right above where you type your new post are some grey buttons, if you click on Quote a new window will open and you paste what you copied there. There you can also changethe color , the font and the size along with adding links bold, italics, and underlines

Have a good time

After you open post a reply or start a new thread the screan that you type your post opens. first is your name, then a box for the title of your post, then some icons you can add, then several grey buttons. B (bold) I (italics) U (underline) SIZE FONT COLOR http:// (web link) @ (e-mail address) and at the end Quote. I am not sure about the others, but I think that you can't add images, that mothering has turned off that option.

When you click on these buttons another window opens up and you type what you want in there and it will format it and add it to the end of your post. I think, like the smilies, that there is a glitch that won't add these things into the middle of a post.

If I am wrong about some of this I hope someone who knows will tell us.

Don't despair Pixiemama!

Let's what might be the problem with how you are doing it.

Okay.. I see it now. You typed it in by hand, right? That's cool, but you are closing the "tag" wrong. It should be (color=red) to start and (/color) to close... when you put (/color=red) it won't work.

Enjoy!
