OK, I'm only going by what I'm seeing on the TP so I'm not sure if it goes for all forums, but it appears that actually no one is able to edit their post titles. Everyone is just starting new threads so their title will reflect their update. When I go to edit my post there is a box for the 'title' to edit but whatever I write there only appears as bold in the post title, not the thread title... make sense?

So you can edit your post title but not your thread title. Right?

Yup!

ahh, that makes sense then, because by default vBulletin has permissions set so members can edit their individual post titles, but only moderators and administrators can edit entire threads in any way (including their titles).

That's true but I don't have it on the default. I have it set to 0 so that there is no time limit for users to edit thread titles.

And I think I found out what the problem is. Would someone please test now? I have it set to be able to edit a thread title that was posted two months back and earlier. Umm, I mean two months back and later.

It actually worked!!!!
I marked a threadin tp as pending and it showed up in the title on the forum page, not just while i was looking in that thread!
YEAH!!!!
Thanks Cynthia
