Slinging my Cat and other pictures...

I wanted to share with you a few pictures of my slings!

This picture is of a maya-type sling I made with a pocket (the colors didn't turn out well in the picture, it has a dark sage green fabric and the floral is a beautiful red poppy print) http://img118.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img1...pysling9ud.jpg

This picture is of my daughter, Mackenzie, carrying her doll, Buzzy, in the fleece sling I made for her. She was so proud (and silly)

This last picture is of me slinging my fat-cat (13 lbs), Gus Valoney, in a pouch-style reversible stretch sling that I made. He LOVES to be slung!!!

Your kitty looks like my cat, Dewey.

He's big and fat, too, but doesn't like to be cuddled much (he was a barn cat before he came to live with us). I can't imagine slinging him!

My cat would die a thousand deaths before she would let me sling her. She would think we were tricking her to go to the vet or something. I'm jealous - wish I had a cuddly kitty.

Your Mackenzie is adorable and the cat, how funny. I have two cats, and old little grey tabby and a younger big ole fat boy - angora - weighs a good 15 pounds.

I especially like the first sling, it is beautiful.

The ring sling is beautiful, love the fabric!!! And you dd and kitty are to cute too!!! I also love the kitty pouch fabric! too pretty!

Adorable!

I use my old sling (dd is now almost 9 yrs old) to help tame shy foster kitties before I find them permanent homes. A sling is great for anyone, or any cat, who wants to be held.

How cute! My black cuddle cat Jack loves to curl up *on* the sling, but would probably have a fit if I tried to carry him *in* the sling... It would keep DS away from his tail, though...

I have a sling cat too but she never looks THAT relaxed in it. :LOL

Thank you all for the sweet comments! I am happy that you enjoyed the pictures - especially the one of my kitty sleeping in the sling! My only concern now is if my cat will feel jealous when the baby comes in a couple of weeks! Maybe I should learn how to sling them both, like twins? Just kidding! Thanks again everyone!

I love hearing about fur-babywearing! All three of my cats,including the two chubsters, and three of our dogs love to be slung too, but not at the same time, of course. Could you imagine? We already have enough cat/dog wars going on here.

I love that you sling your cat! What a riot! I'm afraid my fat boys would protest. I *did* try a cloth diaper on one of them, once, and they enjoyed sleeping in the crib (which was good that it got some use those first few months!)
