What's used to adhese bamboo?

-- I was just thinking about how wonderful bamboo is. I try to buy bamboo products all the time (we have a bamboo cutting board, considering bamboo floors, etc). BUT-- I got to wondering today...what the heck is used to squish all that bamboo together to form a "sheet" of wood type material? Is it glue??? If so, that would seem to be an oximoron for wanting to use it for environmental reasons. Am I wrong?

Contact the company you are planning on buying it from to find out. I think they try to use glues that are NOT fermaldhyde based. Also, they are friendly because they are an extremely renewable crop opposed to many woods and especially compared to evil vinyl. I hope the bamboo exceeds your expectations.
