Natural toothpaste-try it? - Page 2

I have Burt's Bees lavender mint and I can't stand it. It tastes gross and my teeth never feel clean afterward. It also leaves a purple mess all over the sink so I have to be very meticulous about cleaning it after I brush or it looks filthy.

I've used Tom's of Maine strawberry and I really liked the taste. It tastes like real strawberries not strawberry flavor. I've also tried the mint and it is okay. Their website used to give free samples. You might look and see if they still do.

My 5yo hates all toothpaste, but will tolerate a microscopic speck of Tom's orange mango--says it tastes better than others we've tried.

We use Squigle. No SLS and it's 36% xlitol. It only comes in a fluoridated version, however. This is OK for us because DD1 has some demineralization and we need to use fluoridated toothpaste with her. Because there's no detergents, it doesn't "dissolve" as well as other toothpastes; but with a bit of care this isn't a problem.

Tom's Mango is the only one we've found that ds1 will use.. He has some mouth issues.. And this one works for him.. We use floride because we have well water, and he did have some demineralization at his last check up..

Warm Squishy Feelings..
