What's the difference between an Ergo and a Baby Trekker and....

Mamas! What's your favorite sling/carrier?
There are so many to choose from!
I have used the Bjorn (briefly), the Slingezee sling (all the time), and the Baby Trekker (briefly, got it too late - right before he was more interested in walking than being carried).

Who else has used the Trekker, and do you like it? Do you like something else better? Like the Ergo? Or is there something else that is easy to use and even better?

Should I consider another type of carrier? With a 3.5yo and a newborn (next summer), I plan to carry baby on my back or front all the time while walking with DS (we are pedestrians and rarely/never get in a car).

We have had a bunch of carriers (between 5 babies). My favorites so far are the Ergo (#1) and the Baby Trekker (which I am selling, as my DD is almost 2, and I have 2 new carriers on their way...gotta make room!) I've found the BT to be better for a younger baby & the Ergo essential for an older baby...I still use my Ergo EVERY time I go out w/DD. I would try a wrap-style for a newborn. If I were expecting again, my next carrier purchase would be a Didymos.

Congratulations!!! & Best wishes for a healthy babe

I've used a Kelty backpack, a BabyTrekker, an Ergo, and a Patapum, and like the Patapum best (followed by the BabyTrekker).

These back carriers were also recently in these threads:
