Science fair ideas?

Hi!!

My 6yo ds and my 8yo ds want to enter a science fair. Does any one know where I can get some good ideas to go over with them? I've searched and searched (via Yahoo) and can't get much. (a potatoe or a flower project is all I've found so far). Any help would be much appreciated.

Do all brands of diapers absorb the same amount of liquid? Does it matter what the liquid is (water as opposed to juice or... um.. urine)? You could use a hemp diaper too!

We did mold here. Bread of various kinds and cling wrap was all that was needed. Does the mold grow faster on the wrapped or unwrapped bread. Wet bread or dry bread? Plain water or salt water?

You get the idea.
