Will I regret not using interfacing?

I'm about to start on a simple flannel robe for my hubby. The pattern calls for interfacing, but I don't have any and won't be anyplace I can buy it soon (I've actually never used it yet). Will I regret not using it? This is a very simple, plain flannel robe, I really don't care how much structure the collar has. I mean, so what if it ends up rumpled when it comes out of the dryer. Am I missing something about the purpose of interfacing, by thinking I really don't need it for a garment like this?

i ususally skip the interfacing on alot of my stuff. on occasion, i've used a scrap of the same material i'm working with as a substitute.

so if your missing something when it comes to the whole interface thing, i guess i am too LOL! :LOL

It's always strange how robes call for interfacing. I personally wouldn't think it would be comftorable with the interfacing...

FOr something like a robe, I think interfacing makes a big difference. It holds the front opening smoother. If you ahve extra of the fabric, just cut an extra piece and use it as interfacing. You might not regret it, but if you knew the difference it could make, you might mind.
