There are several books by Nancy Cornwell, "Adventures with Polarfleece" , "More Polarfleece Adventures" and "Nancy Cornwell's More Polar Magic" that give lots of great ideas for embellishing polarfleece fabric. Many of them are really easy. If you flip through one of these books at your local fabric store, I bet you'll come away with some new techniques. (My copies are packed away so I can't check them, sorry.)

One easy idea is to cut polarfleece shapes and glue or sew them to the pillow. Since polarfleece doesn't ravel, you don't have to worry too much about close stitching.

Good luck!

I've used glitter paint on fleece (it was a celestial print) and it worked pretty well. Just little spots for highlight, though, cause the paint sticks the fibers together and looks a bit gloppy, but it wasn't too bad.

We've used fabric paint to put handprints on polarfleece...this is our Christmas tree skirt, as a matter of fact. Every year the kids put handprints on it and I write the year and names on it. Of course, this isn't a high-wear situation (although the cat likes to sleep on it), so I don't know how paint would work on a pillow.

Are you making your pillows by tying 2 fringy pieces together around a pillow form?

I painted fleece using stencils and fabric paint spray. Turned out great!
