Mystic River was dreadful for me personally (the point of the movie I mean) but I thought the acting was decent. I like Sean Penn's acting. What else? The Ace Ventura movies were painful lol, Fern Gully 2 (and this ticked me off because Fern Gully is one of my faves of all time), Every Land Before Time after the first one was icky, Battlefield Earth. I didn't much care for Cold Mountain other than Renee's role.

Heat.

It has Deniro and Pacino, so it's supposed to be good. But holy cow, talk about boring -- it's like the director didn't cut ANYthing.

Unfortunately I had to wait in the lobby b/c DH didn't leave with me! :LOL

Battlefield Earth was so gruesomely terrible. It's the only movie I've ever heard people laughing out loud and never seen so many leaving! We were laughing too LOL.

And tragically for me, "Mists of Avalon" which as a book I adore desperately. The movie was so appalling I didn't even finish watching it sob sob.

The Beach, with Leo Dicapprio. Awful and I couldn't stop watching the train wreck. I want my 2.5 hours back.

I have seen a lot of movies that I did not like, but the one which really sticks out in my mind was one I went to the theater to see.


I was about 19 and I went to see Hocapontus ( yes, I DID spell it Hocapontus, don't give me a hard tiem about that if you know what is good for you ! ) and it was so bad that i started to CRY ! I guess I was naieve enough to ASSume that it would be a good movie along the lines of Beauty and the Beast, one of my favorite disney movies.


I was in shick through out the rest of the movie. It as awful and nothing but lies and then more lies on top of htose lies. It had a horid plot and ton of...UGH. Just thinking about it now gets me angry.




I refuse to say the title of that piece of trash correctly ever. I still want to cry when I think about it. I mean..what the HECK where they thinking , making that ? And what was I thinking, going to see it and actually paying money and standing in line for it ?



Also, I don't get Woody Allen Movies, and since he married his step daughter I am too icked out to watch them now and even try to get one.

There have been so many but I've walked out on my fair share of movies and can never remember what they were because I cared so little about them!

8MM with Nicholas Cage was very disturbing and I don't think I'll ever forget it. I'd like to erase that one from my memory - although suprisingly enough no one else was scarred by it!

Pirates of the Carribean was pretty aweful but struck me as funny if you can believe that! So everytime I think of that movie I want to laugh!

More bad movies are slowly coming back to me now but only scenes from them and not their names so I'll leave it at those two!

Wow. Home Fries was truly wretched. I didn't think anyone else saw it!

I usually manage to avoid seeing movies that I think I'm gonna hate, ie Battlefield Earth, Hope Floats - but a couple always sneak through!

Runaway Bride made me want to puke.

Dances with Wolves is my old-standby, and has been the movie that I've HATED since I saw it at 10 or 11 years old.

However, closely (& I mean very close) edging up on the above tripe is 8 ½ Women. So boring, so offensive. I will never get that $7 or 2 hours back.

Let's see, I have watched many a bad movie, even Reefer Madness.

I would say that off the top of my head, House of 1000 Corpses was the worst movie I have ever seen all the way through. I don't mind vast amounts of gore. Vast pointless amounts of gore bother me. It played for 1 week here, and when we went to see it, everyone walked out of the theatre but me and my friends. We got free passes for sticking it out.
DH would tell you that Blade Trinity may win now, though. He saw it yesterday.

I know i'm alone in that i really liked waterworld and the postman [what can i say: i like that kind of post-apocalyptic fantasy], but i didn't like ...oh shoot what was the name of it? the one about the slave ship? to clarify, i know it's not in the same genre as the other two, but what i mean is that it's a movie that received high acclaim, but i didn't like.
