What is the worst movie you have ever seen? - Page 17

The Brown Bunny

Its an independent movie with Chloe Sevigny that got a lot of press because she gives the actor, who was her bf at the time, real oral sex. But the movie was horrible, just a guy driving on a road the whole time with no plot, no WORDS, it was beyond bad.

I read an earlier post about Hope Floats...I love that movie. It's seriously one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I cry everytime. I love the "snug as a bug in a rug" part--my momma used to say that to me

Worst movie though was "The Story of Us". Blahhhhh. I was so mad when that damn movie ended. We continued to watch it because we truly believed it could get better. It didn't. A serious waste of two hours of my life:

BAD, BAD, BAD.....Here are two I don't think I have seen in this list yet...Speed (PAINFUL) and Anaconda (HORRIFIC).

The following are movies listed as bad that I actually quite like and some are even my favorites: Life Aquatic, Royal Tennebaums, Napolean Dynomite, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotted Mind, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Anchorman, The Burbs (Gotta LOVE the 80's!!), Dancer in the Dark.........

The Haunting ( I really can't stand Catherine Zeta-Jones )
Strangeland- sick, sick twisted movie uggggh my stupid friend in high school always wanted to watch it with me uuuuugh
What Dreams May Come. I'll be depressed for a week if I watch this
Twister yet another Jan De Bont bomb that somehow became ridiculously popular. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it....SO cheesy! But I love it....God help me

That and "Mo' Money" are the only movies I've ever left during the middle (or in the case of MM, towards the beginning.) Snap, snap, hated it!

I agree with you, here. The last scene when she grabs her husbands clothes in the closet--OMG what a heartwrenching scene. I thought it was a groundbreaking movie.

I said Hostel earlier, but is well worth repeating that movie was awful. It really did disturb me on so many levels that I couldn't finish watching it and made Dh turn it off. He finished it later, I read the spoilers.

I am a visual person, so I can handle really twisted plots, but not the graphic gore that was in that movie. I don't think I will forget some of the images I saw there for quite some time. Eli Roth, really did a great job for what it was, I think I saw in an article that he is working on the sequel Hostel 2 which is going to be "sicker and scarier." that is one movie I will skip.

Lost in translation. That movie SUCKED big time, I don't understand why everyone was so gaga over it.

I think you are the only person to ever share in this opinion with me-it was AWFUL. Ishtar is one of the worst too-oh and Far From Heaven....

Maybe "The Scarlet Letter" with Demi Moore?

I thought "Titantic" was AWFUL--utterly painful to watch. I couldn't believe how popular it was (and don't even get me started on that Oscar...).

Just goes to show everyone is different. I LOVED Kill Bill movies and the Matrix movies. Hated Austin Powers (left the theatre). I also hated ELF. Watched 15 horrible minutes and couldn't reach the power button fast enough. Nobody in my family liked it (Dh, dd or the cats!)

Title for worst waste of a movie had to be the Highlander sequels. The first one is fantastic. The others (not the series), those movies no one should actually say outloud sucked cheese through a straw in winter - in Minnesota.

What? Who hated Kill Bill? It's got everything I love in a movie! Maternal motivation, martial arts, cheesy Tarantino blood spatter...

I liked the Matrix movies. I admit that the second one went over my head a bit, then I "got" the third one a lot better. And Austin Powers is hysterical imo. Yep, your're right about everyone being different.

But I had to agree on the Highlander sequels....blech! And that runaway subway car scene, wth? They really had to throw an infant in a stroller in that one too...then everyone getting squished to death with g-force, come'on.

I fell asleep during Lost in Translation, so I dont' have an opinion on it. I really do fall asleep during good movies, so I can't use that as a gage as to how much I liked it.

8 Mile, I went to see this at the cinema with a friend who was an eminem fan and I was so bored throughout.

Anger Management I watched this on a coach coming back from Germany it was an approximately 22 hour journey and the time I spent watching this were the longest hours of all.

Same applies to Hitch and the new version of the Italian Job which we also had to watch.

The Saw films, I saw both one and two and while they were cleverly made watching people being tortured like that does not appeal to me at all.
I can't even bear to watch Who Wants to be a Millionaire? because I hate to see people losing yet I love sad films(though I cry throughout)

I can't believe I forgot Sideways, this was so incredibly dull and I thought the 2 main characters were incredibly unlikeable.

About Schmidt I hated this for the same reason, I believe the guy who directed Sideways directed this and it certainly shows, boring and pretentious, not much of a comedy either and I usually love subtle comedy, I promise but this was not at all amusing.
