Finally did it! (first LLL meeting)

I've been meaning to go to a LLL meeting for a loooong time, and finally went to my first one last night! It was awesome. I met some really cool mamas, and there were three other moms there who are tandem nursing infants and toddlers, so we got to discuss frustrations and joys related to that. I'm definitely going next month (wish the next one was sooner!) and have asked dh for a membership as my Christmas present.

Woohoo! It's a great feeling, isn't it, to be among other bf moms. I haven't been in a long time but I plan to make it to the Jan. meeting. When I was attending last year, the moms nursing toddlers there really opened up my eyes to the fact that nursing doesn't need to end at 12 months, so I hope to do the same for some moms with younger ones now that my ds is 2. The topic next month about baby's changing needs can surely include that of toddlers too!

Very cool! I've been going since ds was 11 months and the ladies there have been such a big help. It's so good to hang out with like-minded people.

I LLL I've been going since DS was 3M old and I've made some very great mama friends there!

I had mine yesterday. I going. Their mothering styles are so much like mine. It's nice to be amongst friends!

I my LLL meeting. I have found very dear friends there and it is so nice to be around parents with similar parenting styles.

I love my LLL meetings. I've been going for about 8 months now. It is so wonderful to find other moms who not only believe what I believe about bf but also parenting in general.

I agree! I went to my first one on Tuesday, and it was great! I don't know anyone irl who breastfeeds other than myself, so it was nice to be around other nursing moms.
