Looking for a HB MW in Germany...

We're a US Military family stationed in Germany. I'm searching for a HB midwife, but the fact that I don't speak fluent German, and we've only lived here a year is hindering me. I don't even know where to start. Any help out there?

I'm a German-girl living in the States and thought I could maybe give you some tips:

At www.msn.de try and type in "Hebamme" (Midwife) or "Hausgeburt" (homebirth).
Or try your local phonebook/yellopages for "Hebamme" or "Geburtshelferin".

You didn't say where in Germany you are stationed, so I can't go online and look for you. PM me if you want

I don't know where you are, but if you go to

www.hebammen.de

you can type in your zip code and they will point you in the right direction. Everything is in German, but if you can get the addresses of thosein your area, then you can send them an email or call them to see if they provide services in English.

If you are living near a military base, I would be shocked if you weren't able to find midwives that were fluent in English.
