We're visiting family in Wisconsin, a long ways from our Arizona home and my baby books.

DS suddenly had a fever last night. His cousins have been sick last week and now maybe he has what his cousins had? Cousins mom is a nurse and I really don't think infant tylenol or ibuprofen will actually help.

Anyways, DS (6.5 months) is hot. His fever is 100.6. We've never seen him this hot nor act this way. If suddenly it is his first fever, what do we do? He's never popped pills and I'm not going to start now. What do we do with this fever? And if it's not teething, then what should we do? He's never been this way at all. It started yesterday afternoon.

We don't head back home until Wednesday, so any advice and encouragement would be most appreciated.

I AM a little freaked out by one thing and that was a pill I found on his playpad. I asked my MIL what it was and she didn't say a thing. I do plan on asking her when she wakes up and don't care how uncomfortable she gets because I'm not going to assume that it was just one pill and DS didn't inadvertently ingest another. Yuck.

Sorry to be all over the place.
