Nesting anyone?

I"m starting to get urges to do things like scrub the molding in the tub and behind the toilet and shampoo the carpet. How about everyone else?

I keep hoping nesting will kick in for me. There is so much that needs to be done around the house, but I'm sooooo tired! I keep making lists, but nothing actually gets done from the list.

I haven't actually done much. I'm just getting the urges. hehe

Yes! I'm nesting like crazy. I hope it lasts until the baby comes! I'm getting TONS done!

Not really. Although, I did bag up ALL the dirty laundry & haul it to the laundromat tonight. 10 loads all done - so that's one thing out of the way. I get to tackle the dishes tomorrow - our water in the kitchen has been frozen for the last 2 weeks, so those haven't been done in a long while.
I've been a total slacker-slug lately, and now it's all coming back to haunt me!

Can I have some of that? I can't even catch up with regular housework. I have about 4 loads of laundry to fold and put away. Ugh.

Yes and I'm LOVING it! I feel almost high from cleaning! (and it's not any cleaning supplies :LOL)

Last night I was up until 2:30 working on my office (reorganizing, etc) What a great feeling! I hope it lasts too!

I haven't gone completely crazy yet but the nesting instinct is starting to kick in I think (thank God) as I did a whole lot of cleaning yesterday and really didn't mind it too much.

Oh my gosh! I'm out of my mind. Especially with this new influx of junk from Christmas!!! ARGH. I think our dog has started to shed on purpose to irritate me. I find big clumps of hair even after I've just vacuumed. My mom just offered to pay for a carpet cleaning for my birthday for me because I was complaining. I want everything organized and all the useless junk OUT!! I'm driving my husband crazy and throwing myself into Braxton Hicks on a daily basis.

I did all of the above and more on Monday. The urge hit me so freakin hard it was almost scary. I actually yelled at DH to get to work and help me while I was on my energy burst. :LOL We got TONS done! Then I woke up completely sore on Tuesday and lost the urge. I didn't care though. One day was enough to get a ton done

Um, I wish, and so does DH. I did get a huge burst of energy 2 weeks ago and all the laundry got done, several dipes got cut out, the oven got cleaned, the floors got mopped. I wouldn't call it nesting though b/c it didn't continue. My nesting urge last time was not really "nesting" I got the urge to be all alone in the mall, so I went and walked around the mall for 3 hours and I HATE the mall. I just HAD to go. I didn't buy a single thing.

I hope I nest this time.

The nesting has begun. On Sunday we took down all of the Christmas stuff and put it all away. I just wanted it out of the house. One month is enough. All of the new stuff is put away. I've started going thru all of my baby stuff. I have to get out all of my unisex new born things. A friend of mine just gave me a ton of org cotton baby clothes. I'm so excited to have all of those. I've also started deep cleaning. I hope it lasts. When I was preg with Gareth I didn't go thru nesting at all. I remember having contractions and calling my dad asking him to bring over his vacum because I had dust bunnies all over my house. I also remember washing all of the baby clothes the day I went into labor.

I really want to take down my Christmas tree too.

I convinced DH to take me to Ikea where I bought some shelves and bins and baskets. I totally redid the playroom and have been tearing through the house. Tomorrow the bathrooms get cleaned, laundry gets done (and actually put away) and then the kitchen floor gets a really good scrubbing.

I nesting! I wish it would last forever!

I think nesting has kicked in for me! I have been doing some minor cleaning and organizing, but mainly what I'm dying to do is cook for the freezer. In just a minute I am going to go to the mall to get some real Tupperware for freezing 'cause I'm tired of the plasticware (not Tupperware) that I have now. Then I'm going to the grocery store to get ingredients for a few meals that I know my family will love, then I'll come home and cook. That's the plan, but I'm afraid I will be wiped out after all the running around and not actually get to the cooking part. If that happens, I hope nesting continues for a few days so I can actually get stuff done!

Let's see, today I requested the book Frozen Assets from the library, to see what food I can prepare ahead.

DH has been working today on the closet in the baby's room (or at least the room for the baby's stuff), so I felt guilty not working on something. Plus, it's too loud to sleep. So I did a bunch of filing of paperwork, shredding paystubs from many years ago, went through the 'car' file, set up some new files. I'm going to start the baby's laundry before my afternoon nap - DH is almost ready to stop work on the closet.

Earlier this week I cleaned out the baby's dresser and put in shelf paper. Maybe tomorrow I can get to Home Depot for replacement handles.

I'm going in bursts, but trying to make the best of them.

I have no urge to actually clean the house (normal housework), but I have been really into rearranging and organizing my whole pregnancy. I am the queen of lists. I have a list fetish I think :LOL
This week I got all of the boxes of hand-me-down boys clothes out of the nursery closet and organized them into larger plastic 16 gallon storage boxes. (My brother's ex-finance had two little brothers so I got a lot from her mom while they were going out even though I had no idea I was ever going to have a boy.) I organized my daughter's closet and put away clothes she can't wear anymore, and our closet is next. You can get great deals on storage containers after Christmas.
Here's an idea for getting the motivation to clean your house (at least it works for me). Invite someone over for a meal....especially someone who's never been over before. I don't care if my mom sees my house a mess, so she doesn't work. I'm having one of the women from my mother's support group and her hubby and daughter over for dinner on Sunday night, so I have the weekend to clean.
