Nesting anyone? - Page 2

i'm doing so much nesting. it's wild, i don't know where it's coming from! everything from rearranging our bedroom, to cleaning up the yard (it's 29 degrees out there), to mopping the bathroom and cleaning out the medicine cabinet. this is a phenomenon. i've been so tired my whole pregnancy up until now. but i don't know, i guess i'll be really glad to have done it all before my babies arrive- cause it's not gonna happen again like this again for a LONG time!

I am loving being at home this week and getting so much done! I don't want to leave the house. I have to get out tomorrow because Kinzi has a basketball game, but I could stay in for several more days if it were up to me. I've gotten all the baby clothes washed and all the sheets and towels washed for the birth and all of our laundry done. Kinzi's room is the cleanest and most organized it has ever been! What's funny is that the bathroom and kitchen really need a good scrubbing and I have absolutely no desire to do those rooms. Anything else, but not those! I think because I do those all the time and I'm only wanting to do stuff that is actual preparation for baby. I wish so much I had a nursery to decorate.

ooohhhh, I think I hurt myself.
Yesterday dh took dd to a women's basketball game and I had the house to myself. Dh recently built a new drawer/hanging unit in dd's room because there's really no closet in there and I sorted and folded all her clothes. Did TONS of laundry, rearranged our bedroom, cleaned out the linen closet, sorted out toys etc, etc, etc. I was in heaven until I started worrying that I was going into labor. Seriously. Even though I wanted to keep going I made myself sit for awhile so that my uterus would unclench.
Today I feel okay except I have one aching back.
There's still more to do though and the thought of it makes me... excited?!! Is this a sickness?

Kelly,
I know the feeling. I went crazy cleaning yesterday - literally non-stop from like 12:30 until 8:00. When I finally sat down I was crying my back hurt so much and I thought for sure I had put myself into labor because I had 3 hours of very painful contractions after that. :

I've been nesting...but with strange things. Yesterday I had to clear the old morning lily vines off the fence. I didn't even get to do the whole side because there were so many. I also had a strange urge to dip the whole house in pine-sol (I know, I know...so not NFL) last night, but managed to restrict myself to the bathroom.

I finally got something DONE!!!!!!! And boy does it feel good! I'm definitely tired today, but I took it pretty slow yesterday and got my room mostly cleaned out, Davey's dresser out into the toy room (where he sleeps now), a shelf for the baby's diapers & clothes put in where the dresser was, all the diapers, clothes, and blankets out, and everything washed, folded, and neatly arranged. I feel so much more ready now - I was feeling rather panicky for a few days last week, because I had absolutely NOTHING ready for the baby. But now I have more space in my room, clean bedding for the bed, all the baby's things ready to go, birth stuff right there on the top shelf by my bed.....it's all good. I feel much better now, even though I'm tired.
