food aversions and nausea before the test even came back positive. Then shortly after that major fatigue.

I just tested...

and it came out negative.

BUT, my period is not due until Tuesday, and the test said "accurate as early as one day after your missed period". I haven't technically missed a period yet, so maybe it was too early?

Because I still have the same symptoms - my boobs are even more tender, I feel totally nauseous off and on throughout the day, get hungry but then can't eat much, and also smell sensitivity.

Could I have all of these symptoms and NOT be pg? What do you think? Did I just test too early and get a false negative?

HELP - this not knowing is driving me insane!!

I never had nausea or tender breasts or anything like that. In fact, I didn't really even have any symptoms. My belly hurt like I had bad gas and I told my mom (we went to visit my gma out of town) that I didn't feel good and my stomach was hurting. The first words out of her mouth were "are you sure you're not pregnant?". I laughed her off and said yes. Of course 1 month later I find out I was pregnant at the time.

I was verry emotional, queasy stomach throughout the day, tender breasts, and kind of "knew" like the others.

ligaments stretching...

Within days of conception, my ligaments were already stretching. Everytime I would cough, sneeze, or stand up too fast, I would get a sharp pain on the sides of my uterus. I didn't realize that is was my ligaments until I took the pregnancy test, though. Then it all made sense.

I've had a doctor and two nurses tell me that it's "impossible" to feel your ligaments stretching that early, but I say they are crazy for saying anything is impossible. Until they have examined every pregnant woman in the world, they can't label anything as impossible, IMO.

My sister also felt ligament pain very early. About 2 days before she missed her period.

I also had sore, heavy breasts, but they were ALWAYS sore and heavy between the time I ovulated and the time I got my period. Soon after I got the positive test, they got VERY sore and heavy, though. About 10 times worse than normal.

My morning sickness didn't kick in until 6 weeks.

Yes, it could be too early for an OTC test to work. The tests we run in our lab are more sensitive, but 4 days prior is pretty early- your bHCG may jut not be high enough yet.

As for symptoms, a REALLY sore chest and the smell thing. I could smell everything extra keenly.

Here were mine:

I couldn't stand sitting in front of the computer for too long
Dizziness
I was always really tired
And aching in my tummy all of the time
I felt bloated
My stomach was hard
And last but not least I was consitpated (the reason my tummy was hard.)

This all occured within my first 5 weeks.

Thx ladies - I love hearing all the varied symptoms. It's amazing how different we all are...

Anyway I am still uncertain. Despite the negative test result, my symptoms remain (sore boobs, queasy, etc). This time I am waiting until AF is actually LATE to test again!

And I will be desperately trying to keep my mind occupied until Tuesday arrives!!

For me, first it was tender breasts that were suddenly very "full" and looked great! Then before AF was supposed to arrive, I had some very slight implantation bleeding...that was when i knew for sure, but waited until I was about 2 days late to do the test, and it turned positive almost instantly.

constantly having to pee, a slight increase in appetite, my mom calling me and saying she thought I was pregnant :LOL

This time: a double pink line.

Last time: lots of cramping (thought my period was imminent for weeks!).

That was it ... until .... the dreaded m/s from hell kicked in (both times).

Early Pregnancy signs

This is the third time I've been preg. ( 1st ended in m/c at 10 wks) and I knew, but then we've been "trying" for a few mos. and anytime I'm even a day late I assume I'm preg. !! But, this time I was extremely exhausted and didn't want my coffee, which is always a sign for me. I also wasn't producing colostrum, which I normally do when I am PMSing. Besides those things, everything just seemed like normal PMS. I was reading a book to DD and I turned sharply and felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, and at that moment I knew that I was preg. and my body was warning me to be careful. I took the preg. test after being 4 days late and 34 days since last period! we're thrilled to have another baby in August 2005!

My breasts always change right away during pregnancy. This time they got really sensitive and nursing my DS HURT! Usually they get bigger immediately.

I felt tired and hungry within a few days of conceiving and I noticed an increase in cervical mucus a few days before my period was due. I even had a little cramping around 7 or 8 days after ovulation - probably implantation.

Well, with ds I wasn't charting or anything at all. I was just marking when af arrived and ended on a calendar to see how long my cycle was. I didn't even realize I was almost a week late for AF and only thought about it because my SIL had just found out she was pregnant and then I took a test. Basically my symptoms were: cramps...I seriously thought AF would start at any moment. Really really sore breasts, they were very sore and tingly.

Now let me reiterate what another poster said..It really does only take one time!
I just got a BFP yesterday on DPO11 after being "intimate" just once this cycle...and 4 days before O at that. And I took a test a little early at 7DPO, got a BFN, on 9DPO with a BFN, on 10DPO another BFN, then 11Dpo BFP. And just because I have a couple tests left I tested again today on 12DPO and saw another BFP . My symptoms have been: no real PMS symptoms....I have been a little moody, but it's just not the same as my PMS moodiness. Very tired! Took a 2.5 hour nap a couple of days ago when I put DS down for a nap. Sore breasts are hard to notice really because ever since DS I get sore nips as soon as I ovulate. I've also had patches of creamy cerfical fluid since DPO5...which I normally don't have. Slight crampiness off and on ever since I ovulated. A little more crampy when AF would normally arrive (yesterday and today) but still nothing compared to AF, also very slight spotting yesterday and today...like yesterday one or two spots only on my tissue, and today I noticed one spot all day. Also, that one time of being intimate I just knew we were conceiving that night...it was just a feeling...and low and behold I ovulated a week early and did

HTH

Menstrual-like cramping, bloating, headache and nausea

tired!!! I started going to bed at 9 pm, didn't know why till kielbasa and sourkraut dinner made me feel nauseus!! Then I thought about how early I had been going to bed and how dd nursing was starting to hurt a bit!!
I was running down the stairs to answer the phone and I realized I was holding my boobs as I went down the stairs because they hurt sooooooooo bad. When I thought about it, I realized they had been hurting for about 5 days, where they normally hurt for a day or two before AF. On the day I expected to start my period, I had light pink spotting, and then nothing else. Sometimes af can be on and off for the first day or two, but nothing like that. Four days later, I was looking up early pregnancy signs on the internet and saw that the spotting was most likely implantation bleeding. I ran to the store to buy a pee stick and got the wonderful news.

The weird thing is, the only time we weren't 'careful' was while I was on my period, I never thought I could get pg during af!! Two days after we did the deed, I was browsing the internet, and looked up info on fertility calendars. For some reason, I already knew that I was pregnant. Though I didn't confirm until I was 5 days late, I had been telling DH that I thought I was pg the whole time.

Oh, and as soon as I found out that I was, it was like I couldn't keep my eyes open. Everytime I sat down on the couch, or in a chair, I was asleep within 3 minutes! I got all these great books from the library on pregnancy and couldn't get through 2 pages before falling asleep. It was pretty frustrating. I honestly couldn't sit down and read a book until I was like 9 or 10 weeks pg.

I was in Sam's Club shopping and a lady came up to me with samples of fried fish. I about lost my lunch right on her tray and literally turned and almost ran down the aisle in the opposite direction. Later on that night it finally hit me why the fish would smell so bad and I had a panic attack. Sure enough the next morning...the test had 2 bright pink lines on it. :LOL
