You guys all rock!!!
Thanks so much for all the support and encouragment. I've been needing that lately.
Renae - Mia used to like being on the changing table.... and all of a sudden she's hating it.
for whatever you need it for, and... HA! "it's like changing an octopus"
Heather - I put Amelia in the highchair a lot acually
: In the kitchen when I'm cooking I do what I can with her in the sling but things like washing dishes, cooking with hot oil, etc., I stick her in the chair with a couple toys so she can still be fairly close and up high to see what's going on, but out of harm's way. And I feed her in it, too. Because I just put whatever it is on the tray and let her have fun with it. HUGE mess! It's a pain to clean everything up but she has fun, and it makes for cute pictures.
As far as solids go.... she's had avacado (shich I think she really liked), sweet potato, and oatmeal. She didn't really care one way or the other with the sweet potato, but pretty much hated oatmeal... had great fun with it though.
And we too, have a tooth!!!!! (almost) Her little red gums have finally broken and I can't see the tooth yet but I can sure feel it when she chomps down on me!
Does anyone else have a screamer? Mia goes in phases where for a couple days she'll just let out this super high-pitched, blood-curdling scream every once in a while for no apparent reason.
It can't be an attention-getting effort because she'll even do it while I'm dancing around with her in the sling. She started this a while ago and at first I freaked out a little but now I just think it's part of her just playing around with her voice. Sometimes it's in excitement, but sometimes it's just for the heck of it. It'll start out like a cute little squeal, then it goes up up up in octaves and ends in tthhhhpppbbb raspberries. Pretty funny actually unless she gets into a screaming mood while we're someplace like a restaurant or the library. Then we're like
Off to bathe the dog while the babe's snoozing. Thanks again ladies, for letting me :Puke my concerns out at ya.
