How old is/are your nursling(s) who are being CLWed?

I just wanted to get an idea of where we all are on the CLW path. I think this forum is so neat because there could be someone with a newborn here too that is committed to CLW. It is my hope that all CLW mamas will be posting here, no matter what age their child is. So, please vote!


I just wanted add that it is multiple choice for the tandem and triandum nursers. Also, I hope I didn't offend anyone by putting 8 and older in one category after all the specific age groups. I felt we could more safely avoid inviting "but how old is too old" threads this way.

Great poll, dd is three. I am looking forward to the conversations in the months to come. It is such a relief to be able to talk about breastfeeding dd here without anyone asking me "When are you planning on weaning her?"

I do feel sad that the Extended Forum is gone. The lack of that forum will be a gap for some Moms who aren't CLW but EBing.

Hope they reconsider.

My ds is 30 months and still nurses quite often (although we pretty much just nurse at home - I talk about the fact tht I nurse so people know he still does, but when we are out he has so much to do and I'd rather svae nursing for later).

My DD is 22 months and I am 27 weeks pregnant with #2. I'm sure we'll be tandeming for a while.

My dd is four, and will be just past four and a half when her little brother or sister arrives. I had never really thought I'd be tandem nursing with my kids 'this far' apart, but of course dd had other plans.

I don't think I set out thinking I would practice CLW, either, but, well, here we are.

My son is 4, will be 5 in March. He's nursed the longest of the three --the other two weaned at 2 1/2 and 3y 10m. Ds has told me that he'll stop when he's 40. :LOL Right now, he nurses to sleep at night and then first thing in the a.m. When I was a new mom, I never imagined I'd be nursing this long, but I trust that he knows what he needs.

My nurslings are 2.5 and 4.5 years old. My oldest, now 6, naturally weaned on his fifth birthday (after nursing through two pregnancies and triandem nursing for over 18 months!)

: just visiting! I am no longer nursing but I did CLW with all three of mine one weaned when I was pregnant he was only 11 mnths. the other two weaned at 4 years 1 month and 1 week and the other weaned a month or so later and he was just about to turn 3

Nursing my 5yo ... I think! He turned 5 a month and a half ago and has recently begun skipping days between nursings. Its been a great journey thus far!

This will be a great forum. We did CL with our oldest- almost 6- she weaned on her own about a year ago. My middle is almost 4 and still nursing on her own terms. LOL

Tired - the cakes were chocolate inside with peanut butter frosting and chocolate frosting and then a circle of peanut butter frosting to look like the aereola and a reeses peanut butter cup to look like a nipple

My son is 13 months and had decided to only nurse in the morning and at night (started this when I got pregnant)...but he's not giving that up any time soon. LOL! So, after all we've been through, we're still going!

Hi, I have been lurking for some time on the other thread. This is my third child but first time to nurse. Because of your wisdom and my curiousity, i am trying to CLW. DS is 17 months and I have no limits so far.
