I'm going to have to try this, my CPFs take 90 min to dry and I do them in a coin op dryer, I have to cut the dry time down cuz laundry is eating money up
Well, this is my first time posting on this thread. DH and I try to be as frugal as possible, but we do splurge on ourselves now and then. We're not tight on money, but I'd rather be saving for a house then throwing money away on useless STUFF.
We live in a 1BR apt. w/ our 8mo DS. The rent covers partial utilities, but we have to use coin op laundry. We save quite a bit on rent/ utilities compared to most in our area
I'm trying to cut grocery bills, too. I do a lot of scratch cooking and I make DS's babyfood, but I know I can do better. I'd like to start making my own bread but don't have a bread machine
We another family in line w/ the quality shoes. DH actually just took 2 prs to the shoe repair, one to be resoles, the other to have taps put on where he wears them down. Hopefully this will save a bunch in buying shoes for him
We're on 1 car right now, and we just paid it off (DH bought it before we were married, NEVER buying NEW again
) DH takes public transportation to work, (which is kinda expensive, but not in comparison to a 2nd car, gas, wear, & tear)
We BF & CD so I know we're saving MAJORLY there.
I don't think I've bought DS clothes since he's been born, oh wait, some advocacy tees
but other than that, all his clothes have been gifts from family. Toys, too. We bought him some for Christmas, but the rest have all been gifts.
We have a cable modem cuz DH works from home sometimes and is a programmer, so he needs the connection, but we also have voice over IP w/ UNLIMITED calling for less than $29/mo (this is less than ALL the phone co. deals we've come across). We have A LOT of out of state family and don't have to worry about minutes w/ it.
Hmmm..... that's all I can think of right now.
I'm loving all the ideas so far. We need to start implementing some of them.
