How are you going to tell friends and family?

I now have a new obsession...how I'm going to tell friends and family about this pregnancy! So...how did you or are you going to tell people???

My plan for my family is to "tell" them at my ds's birthday party in a couple weeks (can I actually hold out that long?!?). I'll make t-shirts for my 3 kids and 2 neices and wrap them up. We'll save them for last, and hand them out to the kids to open. My boys' shirts will say something like "Big Brother (again) September 2005, dd's shirt will say "Big Sister September 2005" ... and I"m not sure what I'll do for my neices' t-shirts...probably something not related to me being pg, as I'd like for my kids to "tell" everyone.

We have to figure out how to tell my dh's family (out of state), my best friend (out of state) and my friends... hmmm....

I was trying to come up with a really cool plan, but my little sister spilled the beans before I could enact that plan...LOL!

With Connor we got them little magnets that said "Grandma's little angel" or "I love Grandma" and had a spot for a picture. I took a sticker of a baby put it on an index card to fill the picture spot and wrote Baby M..... December 2002.

This time I was thinking of getting him a "I'm the big brother" shirt and having him wear it, seeing how long it takes for someone to get it!

We already told the most important people on New Year's

I had already told my parents, because I can't keep a secret to save my life. But we let Bella tell my MIL, grandmother and uncle on New Year's Eve, we had her run up to them and tell them, "I'm going to be a big sister!" She loved it, and it was hilarious. I think we'll probably just e-mail everyone else--so not creative, I know!

Good question. First, we'll have to hide all of the sharp objects from my Mom, and be ready for a quick exit. :LOL

I told them by giving them a gift bag with a NB diapervest in it. Bonus: I got to keep the outfit after. The second time I found a picture frame that had 2 sections that slid open to reveal a third section. I put a picture of the 2 grandchildren in the first 2 fra,es and then wrote my due date and "we shall see..." in the third frame.

Wow, you guys are creative. I really wanted to wait until 12/13 weeks to tell people, since that is what I did last time. But have now told my sister and mom, since they are planning on me and ds to fly out to visit them in a month. I won't fly 7 hours during my first trimester. I think they were getting suspisious that I wouldn't book my ticket so I told them. My sister is so jealous I think, that she didnt' even say congratulations or that she was excited. So, with that I am now going to wait a while more to tell others, probably through email.

We're going to let ds tell everyone else, once we tell him. He's not a very good secret keeper and I'm not ready to share with everyone yet. Dh and I both already told each of our best friends. With ds we gave everyone Easter cards with their new title on it. It was fun to watch everyone read and go, "ohhhhh" as it hit them
