Joy, keep those flat folds around!!! The girl at the diaper store almost talked us into them when we were there on Friday!! (it wasn't on purpose, dh just asked what the difference was) She even showed us how to fold them and said everyone should know how to fold a flat cause you just never know what you're gonna need to substitute a tea towel or receiving blanket for a dipe She also said you will get the trimmest fit with a well folded flat, so she used to use them when she had a special outfit she wanted to put baby in, but the pants would be too small with a regular cloth diaper. Apparently the owner of the store loves flats and when she had a surprise baby a few years ago, she diapered him almost exclusively in flats--and lets face it, she really could have used any kind of cloth! They were pretty easy to fold once we did it a couple times, I'm actually thinking of getting a dozen just to use as back ups since they're so cheap.
34me, I've been nauseas again (but then, if it's bad and it can happen.....) and was told it does happen occaisionally. I'm finding once again that if I cook for a while, I can't eat (last night was really bad after I cooked all afternoon)

LOL And I freakin LOVED those old fashioned diapers she got you. You are a great poker face. :LOL That high chair you got was way cool though

Actually, i knew in advance she'd gotten those cloth diapers, so I had time to prepare the poker face. I'll use them. If for nothing else than when everything else is dirty. The disposable wipes will go in the closet. Maybe I'll need them someday for sticky fingers, i dunno.

I didn't CD my first, but I will with Hazel. We've gotten a bunch of cloth wipes for her. But you know what? I love disposable wipes, and having a baby is a great excuse to always have some around. Sticky fingers, sticky faces, spilled juice, questionable surfaces, dirty tables in busy restaurants, etc. etc. Not to mention that occasional extremely messy poopy diaper... I know they aren't good for the enviroment, so I try to limit their use, but it is hard to travel with 2 dozen cloth wipes, whereas a travel case of disposable wipes can come in very useful at times.

Well, it's official, this baby has definitely dropped, I figured she had, but today I'm sitting here and when I looked down I realized I had about 6 inches from the bottom of my ribs to where the bump was moving a bit. Does anyone know, could this be why I'm feeling so much less movement?? I was starting once again to get worried but now for the past 1/2 hour she's been bopping about down there, so I think she's just fine--once again, shes just screwing with me--my luck she'll also choose to hold her breath when she's older just to scare me!

Shannon, I haven't felt too much movement lately. He's moving, but it's a different kind of movement...the There is no room in here, get me out kind of movement. Scott has dropped a couple of times, but he always manages to worm his way back up into my ribs once I've laid down and slept for the night.

I've noticed a decided waddle to my stride. I've been fighting it, but it's just more comfortable to waddle. Not too much, but enough to make my back not hurt that much.

Well I'm going to run. We're sealing our foundation today and I have got to get down tehre to help DH.

Hi Shannon -- I did just recently come across something that said babies move less in the last few weeks because they're isn't as much space. I found that comforting...

You're getting so close, Shannon. So cool that she may have dropped already! I've also read/heard that with less room to move, baby stops the wild movement.

Monica - embrace the waddle!

Ok - I'm off to recline in my lazyboy...who me, obsessed? It's been 5 hours since I last sat in my dear chair...Dh and I did NO housework this weekend, but there were so many errands yesterday, and we had such a nice walk today - the doggie was in heaven, and it was important to get out in nature. I'm full from dinner, and there's no way I'm going to tackle the mess now, so it off to rock and recline I go...

Babies move alot less when they drop. They're kind of "stuck" at that point.
hmmm, yes, it would appear she is "unstuck" at this point, for the past 10 minutes she's been rotating her little but back adn forth from left to right-and if I poke it while it's moving, she kicks me very aggresively.
There is a chance she's a little too much like her mother....
