what is a chemical pregnancy?

i just can't figure it out...
I wasn't sure what a chemical pg was either so I found this:
What is a Chemical Pregnancy?

A chemical pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg does not implant into the uterine wall. If a pregnancy test is taken just at the right time it will be positive, however, when a repeat test is taken several days later it will be negative.

My question is what is PPAF?

chemical pregnancy? does that really happen?

Cuz with my second, when he was 4 months old, my period still hadn't come back but I was nursing all the time, but I was queasy one week so I decided to test myself and there was a very little hint of a positive.

Well I freaked a little and I told my husband and we freaked a little more, cuz it was way too soon, a 3 year old a 4 month old and preggers again??? And we were careful and everything.

so we calmed down and I tested again the next day and it was negative,... I figured I just tested wrong, or contaminated the stick or something.

so it was a chemical pregnancy???

chemical pregnancy can also be a very, very early miscarriage. in may i had MANY pregnancy symptoms from 7 days past ovulation (DPO). i had them consistently for a week, and had positive pregnancy tests at DPO 13 and 14, though the first was faint and the second even more so. DPO 16 i woke up to spotting, feeling deflated, and had a negative pregnancy test, with a heavy, heavy bleeding starting the next day.

too much information

Its hard to get into the TMI area when the forum is dedicated to our reproduction, so while it is used a lot, its often not TMI
