What does BF mean? and what does it mean to be bumped?
post #83 of 142
boy friend or best friend.

Bumping just means that you posted to the thread, therefore bumping it up to the top of the forum or the new posts list.

It is weird because on the smilies it has a mother carrying baby and says BF symbol???
post #85 of 142
ahhh, that BF...

That would stand for breastfeeding.

Sorry, trying to figure out abbreviations in the context of TTC...and that one could mean either.

This is not an abbreviation, but can you tell me why just about everyone around here has a sig that says "I've been frosted"?? What does that mean??? It's driving me crazy not knowing!
post #90 of 142
ok, that is killin' me too..what IS FROSTED??????
post #91 of 142
Frosted is a meme that has been going around via private message.

My question, does "ONE" stand for something? If not, what is the meaning of "the ONE thread"? I'm bad at picking up innuendo. Also, does "onnee" mean something different but related? I've seen it in sigs.
post #92 of 142
The ONE in the One Thread is a Lord of the Rings reference (i.e. "one ring to rule them all"...for the One Thread, one thread to rule them all). Basically it implies that everyone (regardelss of where they are TTC) is welcome on the One thread (as opposed to threads on other boards that that different threads for women at different points in their cycle). There is a post that provides more details about it HERE

As for onnee? I have no idea!
post #93 of 142
Yep - the one thread popped up after several of us long timers had been getting annoyed by the Pre-O and post O threads, since we couldn't keep track of who was on which thread and how they were doing... So alexisyael came up with the One Thread - right about the time the move came out That tells you how long ago that was.

Hello!

I read all the abbreviations on this thread.... couldn't find

I've been frosted, or toasted. What do these mean? I'm pretty good with the TTC boards , but not these! Thanks!
post #95 of 142
Ddc?
post #96 of 142
DDC = due date club
post #97 of 142
Woot?
post #98 of 142
Lmp?
post #99 of 142
Woot = expression of excitement like woo hoo

LMP = last menstrual period

Frosted/toasted is like a chain email that you receive by private message (PM). You're supposed to PM it a certain number of other people on MDC and put something about it in your sig. I don't really get it but whatever.

Does anyone know what "non-vaxing" means? I have seen this in folks' signatures.
