Tandem nursing through pregnancy

It's official...I'm now tandem nursing through pregnancy (again)! Yippee!

It's going to be interesting to see how things evolve from here. Zachary hasn't been nursing much lately and has been skipping a day or two. I'm wondering if he'll wean, or if he'll continue to nurse through the pregnancy and I'll once again triandem nurse. Hmmm...

We haven't told the kids yet, as I'm *just* pregnant (today is cd28 of a normally 31 day cycle!) and we don't want to tell my family yet (and our 2.5 year old would tell the world if she knew! :LOL ) For now it's just our (dh and mine...and MDC's!) little secret!

CONGRATS!!!

Keep us update, okay? We told DD the day we found out we were pg with DS and she was great at keeping it a secret. His name, meanwhile, she blabbed all over. Luckily most people couldn't understand her anyway :LOL

Two? :LOL It's funny you should say that because I had a dream last night that I was at a midwife's office and she said to me, "You've had morning sickness since 5dpo, you tested positive on cd 28 when you normally don't test positive for several weeks past O (all actually true!)... maybe it's twins..." Hmmmm...

Congratulations! And if it is twins, God bless you, you would be the first mama I have ever known to nurse four babes at once.

Is there even a word for that? Quandrandem nursing? :

Hey Clover! Don't you go spreading this around the Forest, now! :LOL I'll be letting the Forest know soon...there are just a few people I want to tell "in person" first.

Quadrandem nursing...Hmmmm.... :LOL I think quad nursing would be a bit easier....or as suggested by my 4 year old several months ago when he was talking about me having two babies: "two-on, two-off nursing"!

mom23nurslings,
i just saw on another thread where you got to here your baby's heartbeat. can i ask if it is one or two?

heartbeats are the best. i imagine your nurslings will keep you posted on the heartbeats as your baby gets bigger.

Hi Kirstie...

We heard two heartbeats ... baby's and mine! :LOL I'm 10 weeks, so I was surprised she found the heartbeat at all. My 2.5 year old nursling was wide-eyed and amazed to hear the heartbeat and she keeps saying, "We heard our moonbaby's heartbeat!"

I'll keep you posted if we should hear a second baby heartbeat!
