My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
my adoptive BF LLLeader liked the Lactaid because she found the bags less cumbersome than the SNS bottles, and said the LA worked from child's suction rather than gravity flow (SNS). She is using it well into toddlerhood, and tandeming while using it, and I think has some relactated natural supply. Hope I remembered all those details right!
I am breastfeeding after reduction surgery and I don't have a full supply. I have used both and MUCH preferred the Lact-aid. The SNS leaked more, was more cumberson and just didn't have a nice feel to it. The lact-aid was much better and discreet. Plus it stimulates the breasts better. I used it until my daughter was 16 months. She is still nursing now but she is also eating and drinking other things so it isn't necessary anymore. I don't see any reason not to use one when pregnant. If I were to get pregnant I would use one. We are adopting and I plan to adoptive nurse and use a lact-aid as well. Once you get the hang of it is really not that big of a bother. I only had two and I would just put them back in the fridge and use them multiple times during the day. Then I washed them up and filled them every night. Are you pregnant? If so congrats!
Hi quick reply for me because im about to go nurse - but use the lact-aid stay far away from the sns. when using the sns my milk supply actualy went down. my baby was talking in 4-5 oz of formula at each feeding. with in 2 days of using the lactaid my baby was only taking in 2 oz of formula. some times he only takes 1
Pardon me butting in, but I'm so glad to have found out about the LA being better! (I'm BFAR too, due in June and am shopping around). I hated that SNS (tried it with my son, hated it), glad to see I'm not the only one!
I've used both the SNS and the lactaid--the SNS was much more difficult for us to use. We only ended up using it a month...we've used our lactaid for most of the 15 months I've been nursing!
We've been using the SNS since Xavier was two weeks old and without it I don't think I could of still been nursing, but I never tried the Lact-aid I didn't know that it stimulates the breast more than the SNS. Just couldn't afford the Lact-aid.
Good Luck mama
