I was 15 days overdue on monday, and they decided to induce me. I was not even maturing, so the midwife at hospital asked if i wanted to try Prostine pills first, for maturing, and then later on put me on pitocin drip. Well okay i took the Prostine pill, vaginal "pills". First one was set at 10 in the morning, and i started to get some contractions, but not strong enough.
Then the second one was set at 1630. And i got contractions. And at 1800 I got CONTRACTIONS so they decided to move me from the gynecological ward to the birth-ward. Okay, so the show was on the road. I cried for epidural, since it was very hard contractions with almost urge to push, babys head was not stuck yet, so i had to push her downwards as well. Okay, i got the needles i needed. Acupuncture. It was like heaven. Man, that needle in my head was the best, it made me like drunk. No wonder they call it the "Whisky stick" lol. I was even nice to people around me, DH included.
Then at 1950 i felt an urge to push, and i felt a slight burning sensation down there. I told the midwife, but she said "No, not yet, its not really time yet"... I told her, look, i know this feeling from before, so check me, if you want. She lifted the cloth over my legs, and said to the other midwife "Give me gloves, the girl is coming"... They just threw their gloves on and i pushed once, and there she was. Like a canonball...
No wonder she was in a hurry, so overdue as she was lol...
I did not even see a doc during all that time. Thanx God for the difference between Norway and other countries!
