I turned on A Baby Story (I watch obssessively, LOL) and there was my midwife, Peggy Bruno! She was great, I hope she does as well for me :-)

So funny, I guess it's not often that you get to see your caregiver deliver a baby before s/he delivers yours.

Wow! That is so great!

I miss A Baby Story ... no cable for YEARS and now that my Dad's retired I can't sneak to his house to watch/tape it! I do have a habit of yelling at the people on tv (especially the OBs) when there are unnecessary interventions!

That's awsome. When is baby story on and on what channel? The baby stuff I've seen on cable usually does not keep my interest as they are usually medicated and interventionist, at least of what I've seen. But wow, a celebrity MW!

Fors us, it's on back to back at 9:00 and 9:30 a.m., and then again at 2:00 and 2:30 p.m., on TLC. It's totally medicated and interventionist, but they do the occasional homebirth and natural hospital birth--actually, it seems like there are more than there used to be. In fact, I guess we've seen enough waterbirths on there that the other night in the bath, I was floating Bella on her back and she tensed up and said, "Wait! Oh! The baby's coming down, mama!" LOL! My poor DH was getting an earful yesterday morning about the interventions that were happening. But I still love watching babies be born, no matter what.

It used to be filmed entirely in California, but now it seems they're filming entirely in NY/NJ/CT.
