Ds had a snow day today, so between that and the fact that he's slept in my bed all week (dh is traveling for work), it's relieved much of the tension we've had lately. I have a conference next week with his teacher and hope she'll offer some feedback/suggestions-we'll see.
Who asked about natural detergent? I love 7th Generation and don't mind Sun and Earth, either. You can get 7th Gen. in bulk at www.gaiam.com
They have other cleaning products which are good, also. We use the all purpose cleaner spray and the dish soap, sometimes. I like that it's not full of fragrances and does the job. You can also get away with cleaning most everything with baking soda, white vinegar and/or a combination of the two.
I have to thank all of you for the cloth diapering enthusiasm and information over the past several months. We were going to go with "natural" disposables (7th Gen) but after researching a ton and having your encouragement and support, we are going to cloth. I just got my first shipment of the softest fitteds and fleece covers from sweetcheeksdiapers.com I also got some postpartum pads, breast pads and a "puddle pad" for the bed. I have another sample stash on the way-- whoo hoo! So, thanks very much.
We have a bunch of "heavy" stuff going on with a family member (are planning an intervention of sorts due to her addiction--she is a teenager) Please keep us in your thoughts. That seems to be putting aches and pains and other things in perspective for me. I am very excited to have the baby and just get a huge grin even thinking of it.
Had a m/w appt. yesterday which went well. I am 34 weeks, measure 34 weeks. My bp is very low (that's typical for me) and I am on track with everything. Dh has to look over our birth plan and add his input. He's been saying he's just going to "wing it" but I want to know that he remembers! He'll be a great advocate for me regardless, but I'm being anal with the checklist.
So, here's another novel! Lousli, keeping you in thoughts and prayers--hoping you'll have Hazel home tomorrow. If for whatever reason that doesn't happen, please know that we're here supporting you and wishing you well. My heart goes out to you.
Be well everyone! Sweet dreams and deep breaths! susan
